Isabella from Sardinia to Do tells us about her cooking classes and heritage.

I was born several years ago among traditional breads and flours, and grew up surrounded by wheat fields and sweet hills (that everybody stubbornly calls mountains). Studying history of art allowed me to better understand the value of my origins and granted me knowledge and freedom.

Then, my further studies had me become a tour guide. It is this combination of awareness and training that underpins my love for nature and its trails, local traditions and their negotiated folklore, art and archaeology. And food, in all its forms – authentic treasure chest of people’s identity and culture. For all of these reasons, I have decided to share my days with you and explore together the island where I live. We will savour its tastes, enjoy its beauty and wholeheartedly experience the full range of emotions this land enshrines. My home is ready to welcome and show you the difference between visiting and experiencing Sardinia.

In my job and in my life, I like to share my work with people and friends who have my same vision.

Cook and eat with us Sardinian fresh pasta.

When people think of Italy can’t think of food. Who hasn’t ever eaten pasta or pizza at least one time? That’s why tasting typical food every time we travel in the different regions of Italy is part of our tour.

Sardinia, famous for its beaches, landscapes and past, hides a spectacular and rich cooking for all tastes: pasta, bread, meat, fish, cheese, desserts, fruits, combined with local wine or craft beer.

Without a doubt, fresh pasta is one of the pillars of Sardinian cooking, so if you are traveling in our island you should eat it and, why not, make it! During our cooking class you discover culture and traditions of Sardinia through the preparation of two types of pasta: culurgiones and malloreddus. You make the pasta step by step surrounded by a funny and stimulating environment. After the class, it’s time for a Sardinian aperitivo with wine, pecorino cheese, salsiccia, and carasau bread. In the meanwhile, we cook the products you made and, as soon as it’s ready, we sit to eat all together as a family. Even the location is a reason to join us in this experience: the cooking class is hosted in an ancient typical house, with a garden where you pick the herbs to make the pasta and have the aperitif or coffee.

The cooking class is one of our favorite experiences we provide, because it’s a moment to share, have fun, meet new people, and eat!
